In Sochi the educational center “Sirius” completed the specialized session for students of “Gazprom classes” organized by Industrial University of Tyumen. Defense of cases that the high school students from 18 regions of Russia worked on during a week became its result. In total 54 schoolchildren — the best students of “Gazprom classes” from all over the country – participated in the scientific and educational career guidance program “The future is yours”.
Development of the Arctic shelf of the Russian Federation was the theme of the tasks, as the press service of the University informs. The young people worked on creation of the project on drilling of a well and the model of a non-volatile node, processed multidimensional data of analysis of core material in gas condensate fields, studied methods of exploratory geophysics for searching for deposits and looked for their own ways of development of resource potential and rational exploration of the subsurface.
“Our project is called “Creation of the module of the non-volatile node in augmented reality”, said Ilya Dulkin, a participant of the educational program from Noviy Urengoy. – “We presented a layout and electronic presentation of a small power plant that is independently powered by alternative energy sources. When solving the case, we did not always have enough knowledge, but our mentors from Gazprom and the scientific-research and design institute “Neftegazproekt” and tutors from the school of engineering reserve of the University came to our aid”.
As a result, six teams presented their case solutions to the expert jury. The criteria for evaluation of the work were the following: originality of the solution and design of the project, good elaboration of theoretical and practical aspects, market analysis, assessment of the economic component and others. According to the results of the defense, each team was awarded in different categories: the best experiment, the best technical solution, the best study, the best practical application, one of the teams was awarded with the title “Power Point Jedi”. The work of team number four “Development and creation of the project on drilling of a well on the Arctic shelf of the Russian Federation” was unanimously recognized the best solution of the case.
“We received unforgettable experience, learned a lot of new things and did a good job. We studied various materials, all sorts of patents and developments in this area and proposed a research drilling rig that would be able to work all year round and not only during the time of open water area on the shelf”, the captain of the team Arseny Kolesnikov from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk shared his impressions.
