Starting with the 28th of March, 20 participants of the governor’s folk dance ensemble “Syra-Sev” are on self-isolation in order to prevent from spread of the coronavirus infection. As Pavel Subbotin, the head of the collective, tells a correspondent of the news agency “Sever-Press”, the task is not easy for any person, and the dancers begin thirsting for moving. Partially they compensate it with training at home. The videos appeared online.
Now the collective shows graceful steps and wonders of stretch exercises to the director and subscribers, and soon, if the quarantine is extended, as Pavel shares, they will switch to lessons via Skype. It is important to stay in good physical shape.
“Don’t let your brain and body lose flexibility”, Pavel emphasized.
Ekaterina Salinder, for example, is studying Nenets language in-depth. Words are combined into poems, and after working with the musicians, the director and the choreographer, it may turn out to be a good song or suite.
Pavel Subbotin is already working on the play “Memory of the heart” by the 9th of May. It will be dedicated to people of Yamal and their heroic deeds during the Great Patriotic War. Audience of the Cultural and Business Center will be able to see it. In addition, there is hope that it will be broadcasted online.
The leader of the ensemble on behalf of the collective wished the northerners to be healthy and to spend time in self-isolation with benefit.
