The container ship “Sevmorput” brought equipment for “Arctic LNG 2”

On the 4th of April the crew of the nuclear-powered container ship “Sevmorput” of “Atomflot” completed work on unloading of materials and equipment for the project “Arctic LNG 2”. The ship delivered more than 20 thousand freight units of the general cargo to Utrenneye field on the Gydan Peninsula.
“The nuclear-powered container ship “Sevmorput” proceeded independently from the port of Arkhangelsk to the place of unloading”, said Leonid Irlitsa, the first deputy director general and the director of shipping at “Atomflot”. – “In the Gulf of Ob the nuclear-powered icebreaker “Vaygach” made an approach channel for placing of the transport vessel at the point of unloading to the shore ice”.
Reinforced concrete products, pipe products, metal structures, construction equipment and necessary tools were unloaded to the shore ice”, as the office of communication of “Atomflot” informs.
“Unloading to the shore ice was performed by cargo-handling equipment of the ship”, said the captain of the container ship Oleg Markov. – “The crew coped with the task perfectly”.
The nuclear-powered container ship “Sevmorput” went towards the port of Murmansk on the 5th of April.
