“75 Minutes of Remembrance”. The project of Yamal was supported in other regions of the country

Dozens of residents of Yamal supported the project of the Legislative Assembly of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug “75 Minutes of Remembrance” dedicated to the anniversary of the Great Victory. Among the participants there are deputies, public figures, sportspeople, children of war and just concerned residents of Yamal.
“We honor and remember the immortal feat of the heroes, their courage and bravery, fortitude and faith. We bow down to everyone, who worked to the very limits of human endurance. We invite everyone to join our project. This is the least we can do in the memory of those people, who are not with us and who are next to us”, said the speaker of the regional parliament Sergey Yamkin.
Every day new participants join the project and update it. 46 personal stories were published on the website of the regional parliament and accounts of social networks. The participants tell about their relatives, who fought in the war, answer the question “What does the Great Patriotic War mean for me and my family?”.
Every resident of the region can present a story and join the project “75 Minutes of Remembrance”. The terms of participation in the project can be found on the website of the regional parliament (http://zsyanao.ru/press_office/75_let_velikoy_pobedy/15947.php).
The project was supported by not only residents of Yamal but also of other regions of the country. It is informed in the press-service of Legislative Assembly of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Nikolay Grigoryev, a representative of the Public Council of the Federal Agency for National Affairs is one of them. He highly appreciated the idea of the organizers. He notes that this is not just a one-time action dedicated to a great historical event.
“This is the continuation of life of the war participants in us, their descendants. They sincerely dreamed of good, peaceful life for their children and grandchildren, for which they fought against the enemy, giving their lives for the victory”, Nikolay Grigoryev said.
