The situation with decrease in prices for oil will require adjustments to the investment program of “Gazprom Neft”. It was stated by the head of the company Alexander Dyukov in an interview with the newspaper Kommersant, which is published on the website of “Gazprom Neft”.
“Of course, the situation on the market will require adjustments to the investment program. But we do not expect reduction in the physical volume of investment activity more than by 20%. It is important that the company entered the crisis in the stable financial state. We have a low debt, a significant part is in rubles. A number of investment projects is not in the active phase, what adds flexibility in decision making”, Alexander Dyukov said.
Responding to a question on adjustment of major projects in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, he declared about their priority.
“Projects in Yamal, primarily development of Neocomian-Jurassic deposits of Bovanenkovskoye and Kharasaveyskoye fields, are priority for us. The fields are being prepared for commissioning in accordance with the initial plans and schedules”, the head of “Gazprom Neft” said.
According to him, the time of the launch of Yen-Yakhinskoye and Pestsovoye fields in 2021, as well as Yamburgskoye field in 2024, in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug remains unchanged, as long as no changes are planned for these projects.
After the refuse of the Shell concern to complete the transaction on creation of a joint venture based on “Meretoyakhaneftegaz”, “Gazprom Neft” will continue to develop assets of Yamal independently in accordance with the plan. They include Meretoyakhinskoye field, Tazovskoye, the North-Samburgskoye and two West-Yubileynoe areas in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
“Gazprom Neft” will continue developing the assets, which were planned for inclusion in the joint venture, in accordance with the previously approved plan of work. At the same time, the decision on the specific transaction will not influence on development of our cooperation with Shell in other areas — both within the existing assets and in other promising opportunities”, Alexander Dyukov underlined.
