On the 15th of May in the videoconference mode the public council under the department of culture of Yamal conducted the joint sitting with public councils under the regional department of education and the regional department on affairs of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North.
Within the conference the participants familiarized themselves with activity of state establishments of culture in conditions of self-isolation. Their employees told about their projects within the high alert mode. Despite the fact that the establishments have experience of work online, the given situation became a real present for development of new information suggestions: live broadcasts, online master classes, extension of coverage of subscribers regardless of their location – everything new that was received in the formed situation. At the same time, the problem of territorial disunity when using the Internet space did not play a significant role.
Among the discussed issues there is implementation of projects within the international scientific educational center “Man in the Arctic”. The talk was about ways of possible interaction in implementation of projects. Development of a socio-humanitarian model of an ecopolis for the Arctic zone focused on vital needs of a modern human as a harmonious and developing personality is one of them. The second project provides for development of a concept for humanitarian transformation of the system of uninterrupted education of indigenous population with consideration of their socio-cultural characteristics.
“We see the direct interest of the specialized departments in implementation of these projects. Thus, ecological volunteers are currently being trained within development of the ecopolis model. This is an innovative project, as it is international in nature and uses unique methods in its implementation. In turn, we offer to involve volunteers in activity of cultural establishments after completion of the training course”, said the chairperson of the public council Anna Nesmelaya.
In addition, the representatives of the public councils familiarized themselves with the Literature map of Yamal “Khorey”. They marked the high role and significance of the resource for educational activity, including in conditions of self-isolation. Today the Literature map of Yamal is a large-scale project on local history that collected information about literature of Yamal: its history, personalities and art-works. The map contains information about 148 authors of Yamal, 7252 art-works, where every tenth is written in languages of indigenous peoples of the North.
(The note: in Russian the word “khorey” has the same written form but two different meanings (homonyms): “khorey” — a long pole for driving a nomadic reindeer sleigh and “choreus” – poetic meter. Thus, it is a sort of a word play. It originates from lines by Leonid Laptsuy that his birch khorey is a younger brother of choreus that was in poems by Pushkin).
