Residents of Yamal received prizes for contribution to culture

Names of the laureates of the special prize of the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug for progress in creation, preservation and promotion of cultural values of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North were announced in Yamal.
The editor-in-chief of the people’s magazine “Severyane” (Northerners) Olga Lobyzova and the director of the district museum of local lore in Krasnoselkoup district Marta Fyodorova were recognized the best in the nomination “For contribution to preservation and development of ethnic culture of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North”. A journalist of the regional state TV and radio company “Yamal-Region” Yulia Nakova received the special prize for contribution to education of creative youth. A specialist on methodology of club work of the regional House of crafts Tatiana Kipko was recognized the best in the nomination “Fine and decorative-applied arts”.
It should be noted that it is possible to see a picture made by the artist from Salekhard Tatiana Kipko on the cover of the jubilee issue of the magazine “Severyane”, and the journalist Yulia Nakova is a permanent and long-term author in the magazine. All of them are creative, energetic people loving Yamal.
As it is said in the regional department of culture, 11 people were presented for the contest this year. Figures of culture and art, who made considerable contribution to preservation and development of traditional culture of peoples of the North and having personal achievements in the sphere of culture and art, can become candidates for the prizes. The special prize of the governor in support of preservation and promotion of cultural values of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North has been given in the region since 2003. Laureates of the prize receive 80 thousand rubles each.
