77270 residents of Yamal voted on amendments to the Constitution by 15-00 on the 26th of June. This is 21.86% of the total number of voters in the region. It was announced by the chairman of the regional election commission Andrey Gibert within the briefing at the information center of the Election Commission of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
With consideration of those people, who voted ahead of schedule, 53% of residents expressed their opinion on the amendments in Tazovskiy district, in Yamalskiy — more than 44%, in Shuryshkarskiy district – a little more than 35%, in Priuralskiy — 33%, in Purovskiy – 30%, Krasnoselkoup district – 28%, Nadymskiy district – 21%. Among municipalities Labytnangi and Muravlenko are the leaders on attendance, 20% of voting residents came to voting stations. In Salekhard and Noyabrsk 17% of northerners fulfilled their civic duty, a little more than 15% — in Noviy Urengoy and 12.07% — in Gubkinskiy.
The early voting is continued in remote hard-to-reach localities. For the present day 22787 northerners have voted: tundra population, fishermen, rotation workers and residents of remote villages.
“According to heads of precinct election commissions, 100% of residents of remote settlements will be covered with the voting by the 30th of June”, Gibert said.
As it should be noted, the voting in remote populated areas may be difficult due to weather conditions.
On the 25th of June 651 observers worked at voting stations. 88 representatives of mass media covered the voting process.
Accepting of applications for the outdoor voting is continued. For the present day the election commission has accepted more than 96000 such applications. As it should be noted, any citizen can fulfill the right to vote at home. It needs to phone to a precinct commission at a place of registration.
According to the information given in the mode of videoconference by Tatyana Tsitovich, the chairperson of the territorial election commission of Labytnangi, the voting at home is popular in “the town of seven larches”, especially among citizens aged 65+. Representatives of precinct election commissions received many applications for Saturday and Sunday.
“We try to consider all applications that come directly from citizens, social workers, employers, whose employees work remotely or are in the self-isolation mode. We are ready to take unprecedented measures to ensure the right of citizens”, Tatyana Tsitovich said.
