In Noyabrsk rescuers conducted training flights of unmanned aerial vehicles that will patrol water areas.
According to an engineer of the group of unmanned aerial vehicles, captain of the internal service Vyacheslav Bakalyarik, the main task is to work out interaction with an employee of the State Small Vessels Inspectorate on patrolling of Lake Khanto for further aviation support when patrolling various water bodies.
Use of unmanned aircraft systems was started in Noyabrsk in 2016, when a specialized fire and rescue unit received two unmanned aircraft systems based on a helicopter-type UAV “Phantom 3”. The quadcopters were equipped with a GPS module and photo-video equipment with the flight range up to 2 kilometers at the altitude up to 500 meters.
For the present day the specialized unit is armed with more modern drones “Phantom 4 Pro+” with the increased range and time of flight. During a flight the devices transmit video information and telemetry to the remote control of an external pilot in real time and make photo and video recordings.
As noted by an inspector of the Purovskiy branch of the Center of the State Small Vessels Inspectorate of EMERCOM of Russia for Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Alexander Golikov, use of unmanned aircraft of the Ministry of emergency situations for monitoring of water surface environment when patrolling of water bodies was not previously implemented. Patrols and inspections were fulfilled whether with use of small vessels or through walking inspections of the coastal territory. Currently, the employees worked out interaction, and the experience was useful. In a shorter period of time they examined water areas and channels of Lake Khanto, checked how fishermen and ship owners comply with the rules of behavior on water bodies. It is planned to continue joint work on water areas with involvement of specialists of civil defense and emergency situations of the administration of Noyabrsk and police officers, including with use of quadcopters.
