The fish-processing plant of Salekhard is receiving the first consignment of summer fish catches. As it should be reminded, this March the distribution center for storage and distribution of fish raw materials was opened at the enterprise, what considerably increased its potential.
“Now we can receive fresh fish from 15 to 20 tonnes per day, earlier this figure was not more than 3-5 tonnes; production capacities of the enterprise two times grew”, said the chief technologist of the enterprise Olga Zhuga.
Within creation of the distribution center the own fleet of the enterprise was replenished with ships of a dry-cargo motor ship type, which will deliver chilled and frozen fish to the plant. It will allow increasing quality of raw materials and will reduce time of its delivery from fishermen. Storage and transportation of raw materials make about a half of annual costs of enterprises within the summer fishing season.
“Today we delivered about 20 tonnes of fish from the settlement Beloyarsk, the state farm “Baydaratskiy”. The way to Salekhard took more than 14 hours”, said the captain of the ship Aleksey Bushel.
Immediately after unloading the chilled raw material is checked for quality and quantity, then it goes to washing, sorting and freezing and then to cold storage cameras. Technical equipment of the distribution center allowed automating some processes. At the same time, additional workforce was required. Since the beginning of navigation the plant has already accepted 8 people.
“We work on fish acceptance. The work is hard, but the conditions are good, the salary is satisfactory”, said Sergey Mezhakov, a worker of the fish-processing plant of Salekhard.
Now the plant uses the new technology for storage of raw materials, which allows significantly improving its quality. Previously, fish frozen in different ways was received here. That was the reason why raw materials could lose their quality, technical modes of the plant could be violated, and the carrying capacity of the storehouse could be lost. Owing to modernization of production, the loss of raw materials is minimized.
In addition, the new opportunities for acceptance and storage of raw materials allowed the enterprise to increase the output of finished canned products by more than 20% in comparison to the previous year.
