Dmitriy Kobylkin: Key players are ready to fill the Northern Latitudinal Route with money

The participants of the project "The Northern Latitudinal Route" are ready to fill the project with money.

This information was given by the acting governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin in Salekhard on the press-conference conducted within the international conference "Yamal Oil and Gas 2015". Dmitriy Kobylkin told about participation of the key players of the project in the conference under chairpersonship of Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich. Prospects and terms of building of the Northern Latitudinal Route, in particular, the railroad line from Bovanenkovo to the port of Sabetta, were discussed within this conference. As he says, the participants of the project from large companies to small cargo senders confirmed their readiness to fill the project with money. As he adds, Sabetta will work as the complex port and will be busy not only with offloading of liquid hydrocarbons. Classification of cargoes will be wide. He does not exclude that metallurgical companies can change geography of mining and processing activity and to come into the region. As we should note, the press-conference took place with participation of heads of gas companies, the deputy plenipotentiary envoy of the President in Ural Federal Okrug Alexander Moiseyev and the governor of Tyumen Oblast Vladimir Yakushev. Journalists were interested in issues of interaction between Tyumen Oblast and Yamal at fulfillment of arctic projects and also interaction between extracting companies with the state power of the region. The Northern Latitudinal Route, the general length of which will make 707 kilometers, will connect the station "Obskaya" of the Northern Railway with the station "Korotchayevo" of the Sverdlovsk Railway. The line will include several railroad sectors and objects: the railroad sector Obskaya – Salekhard, the railroad line Salekhard-Nadym, bridge passages across the rivers Ob and Nadym and also the railroad sectors Nadym-Pangody, Pangody-Noviy Urengoy, Noviy Urengoy-Korotchayevo. The Northern Latitudinal Route will provide Yamal with permanent communication with the big land, connecting the Northern Railway with the Sverdlovsk Railway. The railroad line on the route Obskaya – Salekhard – Nadym – Korotchayevo will open access to the Northern Sea Route and arctic shelves for many regions of Russia and will increase transport security of Russia. The project "Northern Latitudinal Route" was supported by the President of Russia, approved by the government of the Russian Federation. Now within the Northern Latitudinal Route Yamal is building the motor road Nadym-Salekhard. This project is included into the list of priority investment projects of Ural Federal Okrug. As we should note, "The Northern Latitudinal Route" is supposed for fulfillment both at the expenses of the federal budget and the budget of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and also at the expenses of the company "Russian Railways", the company "Gazprom" and funds of private investors being attracted with use of mechanisms of governmental-private partnership.
