Gazprom plans to increase gas extraction in Bovanenkovo field

This year Gazprom plans to increase gas extraction in Bovanenkovo fields on 13.8% up to 76 milliard and 700 million cubic meters.

This information was given by the deputy chairman of the board of the Russian gas holding Vitaliy Markelov in the interview to the magazine “Gazprom”. Bovanenkovo oil, gas, condensate field is the largest on the Yamal peninsula. The company “Gazprom dobycha Nadym” develops it. Last year extraction of gas in Bovanenkovo made 67 milliard and 400 million cubic meters, gas condensate – 53 thousand tonnes. According to Vitaliy Markelov, this year it is planned to extract 76 milliard and 700 million cubic meters of gas and 49 thousand and 900 tonnes of gas condensate. Gazprom gradually increases extractive capacities in Bovanenkovo field. Bovanenkovo is a starting point for approach of Russia to new arctic territories, to big resources and opportunities. Already in the foreseeable future Bovanenkovo, Tambey, Novoportovskoye, Messoyakha and Kamennomysskoye centers will become locomotives of industrial growth for Yamal and Russia in general, as the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Kobylkin says in the annual message on state of affairs and prospects of development of the region. The operating fund of wells on the 1st of January of 2017 makes 391, as ngv.ru informs. In 2019 it is planned to input to operation a gas treatment unit (UKPG-3) with the production rate 30 milliard cubic meters per year. In total three gas deposits will work on Cenomanian-Apt formations. Their total yearly design capacity will make 115 milliard cubic meters of gas with achievement for the set level of extraction in 2022. As Vitaliy Markelov also informs, it is planned to start input to operation of Cenomanian-Apt formations of Kharasaveyskoye field not earlier than 2024.
