Memory of the largest battles of Russia was immortalized in Nadym
Capsules with soil collected on places of the largest battles of Russia were laid in Nadym before the Victory Day to the wall of "The Hall of Memory of Heroes" in the temple-chapel named after the saint Prince Alexander Nevsky.
This information was given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" in the informational and analytical board at the administration of Nadym district. After the church service pupils of the center for children and young people "Alfa", who had participated in the expedition on collecting of the soil, personally carried the capsules into a specially prepared place. During the expedition the young people visited Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, Kulikovo Field in Tula region, the place of the Battle of the Neva in St. Petersburg, the village of Borodino in Moscow region and the homeland of Alexander Nevsky – the city Pereslavl-Zalessky in Yaroslavl region. By the information given in the district administration, during several days of the trip they gave history in 800 years to Nadym. A veteran of the Great Patriotic War Leonid Zemlyanskiy thanked everyone, who had participated in building of the temple-chapel, told about significance of heroic deeds of Alexander Nevsky, to honor of who the chapel was named. People, who had made a special contribution to building of the temple-chapel, were awarded with diplomas of benefactors. The action was finished with joyful ringing of bells of the temple-chapel.
