NOVATEK can be reoriented on domestic ship builders

NOVATEK can send orders for tankers to ship builders of the Russian Federation.

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin called the company to study the issues of sending orders for ships to domestic manufacturers, as it is informed on the portal of the newspaper "Moskovskiy Komsomolets".

The head of NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson promised the president to do this work. As he notes, the company needs tankers in the period from 2017 to 2019. NOVATEK fulfills the project "Yamal LNG". It supposes building of the plant on production of liquefied natural gas on resource base of the South-Tambey field. Besides, creation of transport infrastructure is necessary.
