Residents of Yar-Salye will organize snowball fights according to the rules of Yukigassen

Youth snowball games will be held in the settlement Yar-Salye, Yamalskiy district on the 24th of February, according to the rules of Yukigassen (from the Japanese “Yuki” - snow, “Kassen” - battle). The team game, the main goal of which is to capture the flag of the opposing team, appeared in the late 1980-s in Japan.

Each team consists of 5 people: three forwards and two defenders, as the administration of Yamalskiy district informs in the social network “VKontakte”. The match consists of three rounds of 3 minutes. Players, who are hit by a snowball, are eliminated from the game till the end of the round. It is possible to win in different ways: to capture the opponents’ flag, to knock out all the opponents from the field, or to save bigger number of players on the field till the end of time and snowballs. At that, teams are given the limited number of snowballs for one round - 90 to each.
