Sergey Boychenko: languages of northern peoples are being saved in Yamal

The educational system of Yamal is unique, because big attention in the region is paid to saving of languages of northern peoples. Experience of the nomadic school was presented to the United Nations Organization.

This information was given by the first deputy director of the department of education of Yamal Sergey Boychenko on the press-conference by the results of the third Arctic educational forum. The press-conference took place in the news agency “Sever-Press”. As he notes, the governor of Yamal Dmitriy Kobylkin pays big attention to development of education. As we should remind, the third Arctic educational forum took place in Salekhard from the 28th of February to the 1st of March. The program of the forum included the plenary session, discussions, master-classes, contests, festivals of professions and the ethno-cultural festival, work of thematic grounds, round tables and the final round table. Besides, students of colleges of Yamal participated in the contest program “The best student” and in the game “Competences of the future of peoples of the North”. According to the words of Sergey Boychenko, 1500 people, including schoolchildren, became the participants of the forum this year. 9 large employers also participated in this work.
