Sergey Lavrov gave the award «For contribution to international cooperation” to Dmitriy Kobylkin

On the 14th of February the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin participated in the working meeting of the Ministry for foreign affairs of the Russian Federation and presented international projects of Yamal.

The minister for foreign affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov gave the award “For contribution to international cooperation” to Dmitriy Kobylkin for systemic advancement, protection and strengthening of international relations of the region with foreign partners.

During the years of cooperation Yamal was the receiving side of large international activities many times. The third international arctic forum “The Arctic – Territory of Dialogue” took place in 2013 in Salekhard. It was conducted by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, with participation of the first official persons of Iceland and Finland. The region regularly received sittings of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, became an active participant of visiting conferences of the association of World Reindeer Herders. Since 2014 Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug has been an active participant of the state program on assistance to voluntary resettlement of compatriots, who reside abroad, to the Russian Federation. It is conducted by the Ministry for foreign affairs. The region supports international initiatives on development of education, patriotic education, physical culture and sport, fulfillment of state policy towards compatriots. The international forum-festival “We are for peace in the whole world” in Kiten, Bulgaria became popular among young people from different countries and is conducted during many years in a row. Active joint work on the civil and patriotic project “Kara Sea Expeditions” and preparation of the application to the International committee of the Arctic Winter Games for receiving these competitions in Yamal is conducted. This year the third Arctic educational forum will take place in Salekhard from the 28th of February to the 1st of March. Its participants will discuss issues of vocational development of people in conditions of economic development of the Russian Arctic zone with consideration of ethno-cultural specifics of the region. The following representatives confirmed their participation in the forum: specialists of the Ministry for education and science of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Agency for strategic initiatives to promote new projects, the agency for development of professional communities and skilled workers “WorldSkills Russia”. Also participation of representatives of educational systems of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Archangelsk, Murmansk and Chelyabinsk regions, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, representatives of Tomsk State University, the University of the Arctic from Finland and Fryske Akademy from the Netherlands is being anticipated. The presentation of economic and cultural potential of Yamal in near and far foreign countries is planned for 2017, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs. Geography of cooperation includes Germany, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan. In June Yamal will be delegated for participation in Russian-Chinese EXPO, which is the leading fair in the sphere of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and China.
