The company Wintershall will invest five hundred million euro to projects of Gazprom

During four years the German company Wintershall plans to invest 500 million euro to projects on gas and oil extraction in Russia. This information was given by Wintershall Chief Executive Officer Rainer Seele during his visit to Moscow.

First of all, the talk is about the project "Achimgaz" created by the German company together with Gazprom in 2003. It supposes development of Achimov deposits of Urengoyskoye gas field in Yamal. According to the agreements signed earlier the partners together must invest more than 2 milliard euro to "Achimgaz". Last year gas extraction in the field increased, therefore, as Reiner Seele informs, it was decided to increase investments. As he underlines, European sanctions against Russia will not prevent the company from working with Gazprom. All the necessary equipment has been already delivered to drilling sites. Partially, assemblage of drilling rigs for the project "Achimgaz" is fulfilled in Russia, on a plant in Tyumen, which belongs to the German company Bentec, as it is informed on the website angi.ru. Cooperation of Gazprom and Wintershall continues during 25 years. Wintershall owns 50 percent of shares of the company "Achimgaz", 35 percent in Yuzhno-Russkoye field, parts in the gas pipelines "Nord Stream", "South Stream" and "Opal".
