The French company "Technip" signed the contract for building of the plant with "Yamal LNG"

The French company "Technip" together with its Japanese partners JGC and Chiyoda concluded the contract for 4 milliard and 500 million euro with "Yamal LNG" for building of the plant on liquefying of natural gas with production rate 16 million and 500 thousand tons per year.

This information was given in the agency PRIME with the reference on the French corporation. The director general of Technip Thierry Pilenko underlines that the LNG-plant being built in Russia will become one of the largest of such kind in the world. The sides conducted preparatory work on the project during one year. With consideration of severe climate of Yamal, this work included numerous examinations of possibility to fulfill it, engineering calculations and expert assessments. French engineers came to a conclusion that, because of cold climate of the region, it needs to use the method of beforehand assembled module constructions, which will be delivered to the building site. According to the contract, the French company will deliver necessary equipment to Russia, will provide assemblage of aggregate modules, different engineering and technical support.
