The port of Sabetta will receive the first tanker for “Yamal LNG” in the end of March

The first tanker of ice class Arc7 for the plant on liquefying of natural gas “Yamal LNG” will arrive to the port of Sabetta in the end of March. This information was given by the first deputy director of the project “Yamal LNG” Dmitriy Monakov. As he says, ice tests of the tanker Arc7 are taking place in the Kara Sea, in the end of March its arrival is being expected in the port of Sabetta.

According to the words of Dmitriy Monakov, this is the first of 15 LNG-tankers for the project “Yamal LNG”. Each of them is able to transport up to 170 thousand cubic meters of liquefied natural gas. These ships do not need icebreaking support through arctic seas and can independently go on ice with the thickness up to 2 meters, as energybase.ru informs. As the first deputy director of the project notes, building of two technological moorings, from which liquefied natural gas will be offloaded, is being completed.
