The regional election commission approved the results of the voting on amendments to the Constitution

The 130th sitting of the Election Commission of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug was completed. The results of the voting in Yamal on amendments to the Basic law of the country were approved at it. The sitting was held in the presence of 11 representatives of the election commission with the quorum.

The chairman of the regional election commission Andrey Gibert announced that 80.76% of residents of Yamal had participated in the voting on the amendments. 89.16% of the total number of the voters supported the approval of the amendments to the Constitution, while 10.29% refused to make changes to the Constitution. The Protocol on the results of the voting was signed by all representatives of the regional election commission, who had participated in the voting.

Gibert notes that at the end of the calculation of the votes the protocols from territorial election commissions were sent to the regional election commission via the State Automated System of the Russian Federation “Vybory” (elections). The protocols are certified with EDS (electronic digital signature). The Protocol on the results of the All-Russian voting on the amendments on the territory of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug was prepared on the basis of the protocols of lower-level commissions. In the rating of attendance in Russia Yamal took the 13th place, and on approval – the 5th place. On the 3rd of July the Central Election Commission will define the results of the All-Russian voting on the territory of the Russian Federation. Preliminarily, 77.93% of Russian citizens approved the amendments.
