Venison with cranberries and an arctic beverage. Products of Yamal will be tasted in Shanghai

The first China International Import Expo will be opened in Shanghai on the 5th of November. A place for the presentation of the arctic region is given in the national exposition of the Russian Federation. The delegation of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug will participate in the business program of the event, will tell about industrial and tourist potential of the region, development of LNG cluster and also fulfillment of investment projects in the sphere of agro-industrial complex, as the press service of the governor of Yamal informs.

The fair will last till the 10th of November. It is supposed that more than 1000 companies from 130 countries of the world will participate in it.

According to the deputy director of the department of international and external economic relations of Yamal Sergey Uramayev, China is a very big market, to where it is possible to deliver not only raw materials but also ready products. Therefore, attracting of Chinese investors to Yamal and creation of joint enterprises is being considered to deliver products with bigger added value in comparison to raw materials.

The company “Nyda-resource” from Nadym is going to treat visitors of the fair and potential partners with northern products. The menu includes sausages of venison with pine nuts or cranberries, sujuk and pastirma, dried and smoked fish, cloudberry in syrup, berry chips, a beverage of wild-growing plants and much more.

“This March the company has already signed an agreement with a large Chinese pharmaceutical company, its representatives arrived in Yamal. Another meeting on the territory of China should bring specifics to implementation of the joint project. This time we expect to sign not just agreements but contracts. We are looking for investors, who together with us would be busy with deep and waste-free processing of venison in Yamal”, as the head of the company “Nyda-Resource” Zhanna Gusak said.

A row of business meetings are scheduled already on the first days of the fair. China has long been interested in environmentally friendly products from Yamal - venison and wild-growing plants. Delivery of ready-made jam of northern berries in large containers to China is one of already received suggestions. And it will be poured to containers for retail sale to local consumers already on the territory of China.
