“Victoria” brought the victory

Wrestlers from Purovsky district won medals of the all-Russian tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling of memory of Anatoly Tarasov that took place in Nizhny Tagil. 65 representatives of 9 Russian regions participated in the competition.

The sportspeople competed for 10 sets of awards. Nikita Rebro and Azamat Akhmedov won medals of the highest standard in the weight categories of 82 and 67 kilograms. Both athletes represented the children’s and youth sports school “Victoria” of the town Tarko-Salye.

Nikita Rebro works as a sportsman-instructor of the Yamal center for adaptive sports. He is the repeated prizewinner of regional, all-Russian and international tournaments on freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. In addition, the sportsman from Tarko-Salye is twice listed in the Russian book of records: in one hour he made 220 squats with a bar of 90 kilograms and overcame the greatest distance on his hands - 37.6 meters.

Azamat Akhmedov is included to the Russian national team in Greco-Roman wrestling, the repeated champion and medalist of various world, European and Russian championships. Oleg Dyushko is his coach.

As should be noted, by the results of the tournament the champions in their weight category will receive the right for assignment of the title “Master of sports of Russia”.
