Yamal and Gazprom signed the agreement on cooperation

On the 21st of February the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin and the chairman of the board of “Gazprom” Aleksey Miller signed the agreement on cooperation between the government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the company “Gazprom”.

The aim of the document is in development of bilateral mutually profitable relations on stable and long-term basis and creation of corresponding organizational, economic, legal and other necessary conditions on a row of directions.

The document includes mechanisms of cooperation in all spheres of interaction. In particular, the sides defined mechanisms of interaction in the sphere of major building, transport and in the sphere of energy-saving. A considerable block of the signed document is dedicated to cooperation in the sphere of social policy, charitable, informational and scientific activity. For example, for assistance to employment of population in the region and education of qualified specialists the economic enterprises included to the group of “Gazprom” will give an opportunity to students of Yamal to participate in the contest for receiving of individual scholarships of “Gazprom”. Also it is supposed that the company will scrutinize an opportunity of lessons, educational and production practices of students and their further job placement in structural subdivisions of the economic enterprises. Besides, organizing of practical training of pedagogical employees on the own basis will become possible. A considerable part of the agreement defines aspects of interaction in the sphere of ecological security and environmental protection, what is always the main direction for Yamal, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs. Traditionally the sides agreed to render mutual help to each other at liquidation of consequences of disasters and emergency situations on production objects. Also traditionally “Gazprom” and its enterprises together with the government of Yamal will participate in activities and programs directed to support of indigenous northerners. And, besides, the company will continue work on informing of its employees about norms of behavior in places of traditional residence and traditional economic activity of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North. It is important that the sides agreed to continue cooperation in issues of informational support of production, social, scientific, ecological and charitable projects being fulfilled on the territory of Yamal; timely to share information about threats of appearing or about appearing of emergency situations; and also about taking of joint measures on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of natural and technogenic character. The government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug takes the obligation to provide timely registration of documents connected with transfer of lands from one category to another, with return of reclaimed forest areas, with giving of forest areas within forest fund for rent to “Gazprom” and the economic enterprises included to the company. The chairman of the board of “Gazprom” Aleksey Miller marks long-term successful experience of interaction between the company and the regional authorities. Input of new objects in the beginning of the year, of course, confirms this coordinated and effective work. The company will fulfill all taken obligations, as he says. Since 2011 the regional authorities and the company “Gazprom” has fulfilled many socially significant projects, including, on resettlement of veterans to districts of comfortable living, as the governor of Yamal notes. He is sure that the sides will cope with all the tasks.
