A modern school for 240 pupils will appear in the settlement Ovgort

A new school for 240 pupils will be built in Ovgort, Shuryshkarskiy district. The contractor and the land plot have been already defined. In early February the directorate of capital construction and investments of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug plans to conclude the contract with the construction firm. March of 2019 is the expected date of the beginning of construction.

The area of the two-storey building will make 3755 square meters, it will comfortably accommodate 16 classrooms, all pupils will study in one shift, on average each class will consist of 15 children. Pupils will be taught with use of modern advanced methods, for this aim a part of the classrooms will be equipped with computers, screens and mobile interactive whiteboards. In addition to the main premises, the building will include rooms for education and development of ethnic kinds of applied art and labor, language laboratories to study foreign languages, a library with a reading room and a book storeroom.

Also rooms of a psychologist, a speech therapist and a doctor-valeologist are foreseen. Lessons will be conducted by specially trained teachers on the basis of developed programs with visual and technical aids. The educational institution will also have a medical unit with a doctor’s office, a dentist’s room and a medical treatment room.

Meals for schoolchildren will be organized in the canteen for 120 seats. An assembly hall for 144 seats is designed for public events; it will be equipped with light, sound and video projection equipment.

The school will be made accessible to people with limited mobility and will be equipped with all necessary security devices such as video cameras and alarm systems.

In 2019 designing and building of 24 general education objects for 13380 pupils are being fulfilled on the territory of Yamal, as the press service of the governor of Yamal informs. 17 schools for 7480 pupils are being built at the expense of the regional budget within the targeted investment program of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug; 7 objects for 5900 pupils are being designed within municipal-private partnership. In the coming years new schools will appear in all towns of the region and also in the settlements Aksarka, Purpe, Tazovskiy, Ratta, Vosyakhovo, Antipayuta, Gorki, Yar-Salye, Nakhodka and Gaz-Salye.
