A new all-terrain vehicle of domestic design for work in the Far North “Burlak” was tested in Chukotka. The vehicle will be used for transportation of cargoes and people.

“The machine without problems passed the way in 6 thousand kilometers from Yakutia to Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, never requiring repair. Already in Chukotka I drove it to remote villages, the entire journey took 2.5 thousand kilometers, and cross-country capacity of the vehicle is high. In comparison to ATVs “Trecol”, which are the most commonly used in the region, “Burlak” has higher cross-country and load capacity. If the first all-terrain vehicle can be loaded not more than with 700 kilograms of cargo and in maximum 6 people, the second - about two tonnes”. This information was given by a test driver Alexander Lysenko. Last year the model developed in Yekaterinburg successfully passed tests in waters of the Kara Sea and was prepared to conquer the North Pole. The vehicle is prepared for driving both on winter roads and on deep snow. Fuel consumption is 40 liters per 100 kilometers, autonomic refueling with 0.5 tonne of fuel is also foreseen on it, as TASS reports. A part of the all-terrain vehicle is based on serial components; however, in the design there is a row of original parts and components developed by the enterprise “Makarov’s AT Vehicles”.
