A sportswoman – a chess player from Salekhard Alexandra Goryachkina is the leader on Moscow Open

The traditional international chess tournament Moscow Open is taking place in Moscow. Both titled grandmasters and amateurs are participating in it. The chess player from Salekhard Alexandra Goryachkina is presenting Yamal on these competitions.

According to the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" by Alexander Potapov, the director of the Polar chess school of Anatoly Karpov, after the fourth tour Alexandra playing in the group "A" has 4 points. Now she takes the first place and is the leader in the tournament among women. As he underlines, the main tournaments "A" and "B" are stages of the Cup of Russia among men and women. They are conducted on the Swiss system in 9 tours and will be finished on the 8th of February. Besides, the sportswoman from Yamal received the right to participate in the world championship among women on knock-out system that will take place in Sochi in March. Alexandra Goryachkina is a pupil of the Polar chess school of Anatoly Karpov, the repeated champion of the world, Europe and Russia among boys and girls. At the age of 13 years old she became the youngest woman – grandmaster in the world. In 2013 Alexandra won the title of the world champion among junior sportswomen up to 20 years old and won the Cup of Russia among women.
