A sportswoman-weightlifter from Yamal won the golden medal on the world championship

A sportswoman from the town Tarko-Salye, Yamal Olga Gemaletdinova successfully participated in the world championship on powerlifting and won the golden medal. The competitions took place in the American town Aurora.

In these competitions the many-time champion of the world and Europe, master of sport of international class Olga Gemaletdinova once again confirmed her high status. She performed in the weight category 84 kilograms. In tensed struggle with an American sportswoman the weightlifter from Yamal took the leading positions from the first attempt and did not give her opponent a chance to go forward. In the result, in barbell squat she took the weight of 285 kilograms, in bench press Olga also managed to pull out the small golden medal. In deadlift she coped with the weight 250 kilograms. According to the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" by the first Vice-President of the Federation of powerlifting IPF Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Mukharbek Khosroyev, the weightlifter from Yamal participated in the competition within the national team of Russia. By the results, the Russian team scored 52 points, 12 of which were brought by Olga Gemaletdinova.
