A weightlifter from Yamal has every chance to get to the Olympics in Japan

A weightlifter from Yamal Rodion Bochkov, who performs in the weight category 109 kg, won the silver medal at the world weightlifting Cup in China. In total he lifted 381 kilograms in two exercises.

As it is noted in the department on physical culture and sports of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the world weightlifting Cup is one of the qualifying stages for the 32nd Olympic Games, which will be held in Japan in 2020.

Rodion Bochkov is the master of sports of international class in weightlifting, the silver medalist of the summer Universiade 2017, the champion of Europe, the world and among juniors. Roman Kazakov and Svetlana Khabirova are his coaches.
