“Arctic Cascade”. NOVATEK is patenting a new license for LNG production

NOVATEK will be able to build the fourth line of the plant “Yamal LNG” on Russian equipment. This information was given by the head of the company Leonid Mikhelson on the press-conference. According to him, the capacity of the fourth line will make 900-950 thousand tonnes, as the news agency “Finmarket” informs.

The company is patenting the new license for production of liquefied natural gas of NOVATEK, as Leonid Mikhelson says. He notes that the technology is called “Arctic Cascade”. As we should remind, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin gave a command to start up the first stage of “Yamal LNG”. Also he conducted the conference on issues of development of projects on production of liquefied natural gas. In particular, the head of the state underlines that future LNG-projects should use in maximum domestic equipment and technology. He suggests attracting enterprises of defense industry complex to tasks on localization and output of high-technological products in interests of gas companies.
