Clean Yamal and country. RN-Purneftegaz helps to preserve the unique ecosystem

The company “RN-Purneftegaz” within support of the federal ecological project “Clean country” together with the administrations of Purovskiy, Nadymskiy and Krasnoselkoup districts conducted monitoring of forests with use of unmanned aerial vehicles. 19 places of spontaneous storage of garbage were found. Collection and removal of the waste to specialized landfills was organized by joint efforts of employees of “RN-Purneftegaz” and volunteers of the project “Clean country”.

Conducting of regular ecological activities help to find unauthorized garbage dumps, to prevent from pollution of lands, water bodies and forests and to preserve the unique ecosystem of Yamal. Participation in the project “Clean country” is not the only initiative of the company in the sphere of environmental protection. Employees of “RN-Purneftegaz” together with students of “Rosneft-class” from the town Gubkinskiy in autumn planted more than 100 saplings of different species of trees in front of the town hospital and in the school yard. In addition, more than 8 million Pelyad fingerlings were released into the Ob River in 2019 on the order of “RN-Purneftegaz”.

Within the United Nations Kyoto Protocol on reducing of greenhouse gas emissions “RN-Purneftegaz” implemented the targeted gas program. Large gas-processing complexes were established in extractive fields of the company. All objects of the gas program are equipped with the most modern equipment, production processes are controlled automatically. As a result of the project, rational use of associated petroleum gas in extractive fields of “RN-Purneftegaz” reached the level of 99%.

“RN-Purneftegaz” is one of the key subsidiaries of “Rosneft” in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The enterprise is located in Gubkinskiy, fulfills production activity on 13 license areas. During its activity “RN-Purneftegaz” extracted more than 260 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate, more than 110 milliard cubic meters of gas.
