Considerable strengthening in healthcare will take place in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug

Many new objects of healthcare will appear in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug during the coming years. New policlinics will appear in the settlement Aksarka, Priuralskiy district, in the micro-district Vyngapurovskiy of the town Noyabrsk.

A children’s polyclinic and a women’s clinic are being built in Novy Urengoy. A surgical building and a radiotherapy center in Novy Urengoy, precinct medical stations in Samburg, Gyda, hospital complexes in Tazovskiy, Muzhi and Yar-Salye, children’s polyclinics in Gubkinskiy and Tarko-Salye and policlinics for grownups in Muravlenko, Noyabrsk and Noviy Urengoy are being designed. It was announced on the 7th of February by the head of the region Dmitry Artyukhov within the annual report on the state of affairs in the Autonomous Okrug.

“I paid special attention to medicine last summer during travels around the region, in some places I arrived without warning”, the head of the region said, promising to solve issues of healthcare, as well as to strengthen the program for updating of medical equipment.

“Separately we focus on equipment for children”, the governor said.
