Construction of the first production well was started in Semakovskoye field

The company “RusGasAlliance” started construction of the first production well 1201 in Semakovskoye gas field in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. This is an ERD well with horizontal end; the borehole target depth is about 2.7 thousand meters with the vertical 830 meters. It is expected that construction of the well, including geological studies, will be completed by the end of June this year.

Mobilization of a drilling rig, equipment and material-technical resources necessary for conducting of operations were started in March. In total, more than 15 thousand tonnes of cargoes were delivered to the building site, what completely covers the needs of the drilling contractor for the entire season of 2020. In parallel, engineering preparation of sites and roads within the first stage of field infrastructure development was conducted, as the press center of company “RusGasAlliance” informs.

It is planned to complete construction of the first six production wells no later than the first quarter of 2021. The project well stock of the first phase of development of Semakovskoye field includes 19 ERD wells with the distance from the vertical to the bottom of the well from 2 thousand to 3.5 thousand meters. According to the schedule, construction of the project well stock will be completed in 2022.

“We are building a gas chemical plant and are participating in creation of gas processing and liquefying capacities. With the beginning of production drilling in Semakovskoye field we are launching a new direction – extraction, consistently building the value chain of hydrocarbon raw materials on the territory of the country”, said Konstantin Makhov, the director general of the company “RusGazDobycha”.

Semakovskoye gas field is located in Tazovskiy district of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. It belongs to the category of transit: it is located on the Taz Peninsula with access to the Ob-Taz Bay. The gas reserves of Semakovskoye field amount to more than 350 milliard cubic meters.

The company “RusGasAlliance” is a joint venture of “RusGazDobycha” and Gazprom on the parity basis established in 2017 to develop Parusovoye, Severo-Parusovoye and Semakovskoye fields in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
