Distance work for reindeer herders is a common thing

The situation in tundra is stable, even with the fact that the whole April was announced non-working. In connection with the epidemiological situation and in conformity with methodological recommendations on the labor routine from bodies of the power, the Union of reindeer herders continues distance activity through internet and telephone communication, different messengers and mail. The information was given to a correspondent of the news agency “Sever-Press” by the executive director of the public organization Timur Akchurin.

Thus, telephone conversations are conducted with some heads of reindeer-herding enterprises. Information about state of reindeer herders’ health is asked. It is recommended how not to allow infecting with various colds and contagious diseases.

For example, according to the head of the peasant farm holding Artyom Khudi from Tazovskiy district, everything is stable in his enterprise, farmers are going to drive reindeer to summer pastures, and vaccination took place successfully.

Also the representatives of the public organization, according to the request from the reindeer herder, send him the information on the price for tags and contacts, where they can be purchased. The farmer expressed the wish to purchase individual tags of another color for reindeer.

Artyom Khudi plans to purchase compound feed for his reindeer and asked the Union of Reindeer Herders of Yamal to assist in searching for suppliers.

“We inform that life continues, work is being done, and everything will be fine”, Timur Akchurin underlined.
