The governor of Yamal Dmitriy Kobylkin participated in the full-scale patriotic action "The Victory Banner". It was organized by the party "Yedinaya Rossiya" at support of the head of the region and the government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

"The Victory Banner" is a wonderful project dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This action is a tribute to the memory to fathers, grandparents and great-grandparents, who gave their life, in order younger generation would live in peace, as the head of the region says. As he notes, there is not a family untouched by the war. His aunt passed through the whole war, reached Berlin, where she left her signature on the wall of the Reichstag. The adviser of the governor, the coordinator of the project "The Victory Banner" Dmitriy Zharomskikh adds that his great-grandfather died in that horrible war. He tells that in 1942 near Leningrad there was an unsuccessful attack, where the whole division died. From archive data the adviser of the governor learnt that his great-grandfather had been buried in the grave of honor near the settlement Podporozhye of Leningrad Oblast. As Dmitriy Kobylkin says, the country is living in not the easiest time now. Only strong and independent Russia, economically strong, stable can stand against challenges of the time and become the large self-sufficient power. In the conclusion he reminded the words of the Russian Emperor Alexander the Third "Russia has only two allies – its army and navy". Dmitriy Kobylkin with his own hands made the first copy of the Victory Banner and gave it to the activists. The volunteers from Salekhard went to Shuryshkarskiy and Yamalskiy district, where they will conduct lessons of courage and will organize creation of copies of the Victory Banner. As the governor of Yamal notes, creation of copies of the Victory Banner in each settlement is an opportunity for people of Yamal to touch upon history and to understand it. He expresses hope that the volunteers will bring this symbol of the Victory to each populated area.
