Dmitriy Kobylkin is participating in the conference on national policy

In Chelyabinsk the governor of Yamal Dmitriy Kobylkin is participating in the conference on issues of national policy. The conference is being conducted by the deputy head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation Magomedsalam Magomedov and the presidential envoy in Ural Federal Okrug Igor Kholmanskikh.

The heads of the regions included to Ural Federal Okrug are presenting their experience of fulfillment of tasks set in the Strategy of the state national policy of the Russian Federation till 2025 – the governor of Tyumen Oblast Vladimir Yakushev, the governor of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra Natalia Komarova, the governor of Chelyabinsk Oblast Boris Dubrovskiy, the governor of Kurgan Oblast Aleksey Kokorin. Thus, Yamal has the acting complex program “Strengthening of unity of the Russian nation and ethno-cultural development of peoples of Russia in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug for 2014-2020”. The region also adopted the regional law “On strengthening of civil unity, cross-national and inter-confession accordance”. Towns and districts also fulfill municipal programs on harmonization of cross-national relations. The most important directions of the complex of measures includes: support of Russian language, support and development of culture of indigenous population of the North, traditions of national and cultural associations, work in the sphere of patriotic education, prevention from extremism. Public and traditional religious organizations of the region receive different support for fulfillment of ethno-cultural projects. Besides, grants are given to craftspeople and communities within activity on saving of original environment and traditional way of life of indigenous ethnic minorities. Among important practical results the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin notes formed interdepartmental interaction between bodies of the power, the regional Public chamber, national, religious and political associations, law enforcement bodies on monitoring of ethno-confessional and cross-national relations in Yamal. The region actively cooperates with the Federal agency for affairs of nationalities of Russia. As Dmitriy Kobylkin underlines, today the situation in Yamal in ethno-confessional sphere is stable and calm. Historically the North is multinational and harmonious. The level of tolerance to representatives of other nationalities in Yamal is very high. Majority of residents of Yamal positively evaluate state of cross-national relations, as he notes. In spite of stability of ethno-political situation in the region, objective challenges of the time require for additional measures on strengthening of cross-national unity and harmony, therefore these issues will stay priority in the agenda for the future. As it is noted on the conference, to achieve for tasks and to fulfill activities of the Strategy of the state national policy of the Russian Federation in 2015 Yamal allocated more than 230 million rubles. This year financing is increased up to 262 million rubles, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.
