Eduard Yaungad will “lead the argish” further

The president of the organization was elected at the jubilee XXX report-and-election congress of the regional public movement, the association of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug “Yamal is for descendants” taking place in Salekhard. Two candidates were nominated for this post - the current head of the organization Eduard Yaungad and a representative of the Purovskiy district branch Roman Aivasedo.

In an open vote the majority of the delegates - 72 people - favored Eduard Yaungad. Roman Aivasedo was supported by 7 representatives of Purovskiy district. He congratulated his friend, the newly elected president.

“Eduard Yaungad successfully will lead the argish further”, commented Sergey Kharyuchi, the president of the council of the the Association of the World Reindeer Herders.

(The note: argish means a caravan of reindeer sleighs).
