Everything is by the rules. This year the first consignment of venison from Yamal was allowed to Finland

The first consignment of reindeer meat purposed for Finland in 2019 was sent by the municipal enterprise “Yamalskiye Oleni” (Yamal Reindeer). Specialists of the administration of Rosselkhoznadzor (the agency for supervision in agriculture) for Tyumen Oblast, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug report that they inspected the export venison before loading at the railway station in Labytnangi. The products in the amount 95 tonnes were exported to Saint Petersburg with the later sending to Finland. No violations were revealed at the inspection of the cargo. The accompanying veterinary documents corresponded to the sent cargo and were issued according to the established rules.

As we should remind, export goods, as well as all products of the enterprise, pass through veterinary and sanitary expert examination directly on slaughter complexes of “Yamalskiye Oleni” They are certified according to European standards and allow sending products without restrictions to other regions of Russia and abroad.

Cooperation of “Yamalskiye Oleni” with the European Union began with the test consignment in 50 tonnes. In 2014 the long-term contract for 10 years was signed with the Finnish company “Polarica”. This year the enterprise will send 300 tonnes of venison to Finland.
