Experimental areas to test equipment for work in the Arctic are necessary in Yamal

Within the scientific and practical conference in the town Gubkinskiy the director of the department on science and innovations of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Aleksey Titovskiy told about prospects and priorities of development of innovative activity in the arctic region.

As he notes, during the latest 5 years solving of issues of innovative development in the region received program and systemic character. Necessary normative and legal base was taken, 13 objects of innovative infrastructure, which provide necessary conditions for work of 204 companies-residents with the personnel about 800 people, operate. 25 activities on development and support of innovative work on the sum more than 65 million rubles were conducted. On the first of May of 2015 the register of subjects of innovative activity includes 37 companies and more than 50 innovative projects that have positive expert conclusion and are recommended to inculcation on the territory of Yamal. 39 projects have already received state financial support on the total sum more than 130 million rubles. Innovative and technological centers are necessary in towns of Yamal for further development. In the region it needs to create testing and experimental areas to test equipment and industrial prototypes purposed for work in extreme conditions of the Arctic. Deficit of production areas stays the main problem. Programs containing activities on development and support of innovations are taken in 6 municipalities. As Aleksey Titovskiy underlines, now the department on science and innovations of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug develops the issue on subsidizing of activities of municipal programs on development and support of innovative work for next year. Such programs should be elaborated and supported financially. This year subjects of innovative activity will receive grant support. On the contest basis non-commercial organizations will receive subsidies for assistance to companies-residents in fulfillment of innovative projects and also for compensation of expenditures connected with privilege providing of innovative companies with production areas. Work on conclusion of the agreement with the Foundation of assistance to development of small forms of enterprises in scientific and technical sphere about creation of the representational office of the regional technological park "Yamal" is taking place to attract additional sources for financing of innovative activity. Small innovative companies will be able to receive additional financial support on the contest basis in order to fulfill their ideas. The department offered to create the register of innovative products recommended for state purchases by executive bodies of the state power and local self-government in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
