From Kharp – to Grand Opera. Talent of a singer from Yamal was evaluated in Paris

A soprano-singer from Yamal Lyubov Medvedeva was awarded with the first prize in Siemens Art Program Opera contest at Opera Garnier in Paris.

As it should be reminded, last year Lyubov Medvedeva got a job in the youth troupe of Paris Opera. To do this the young singer from Yamal had to go through the difficult long selection. Now she has been performing at Grand Opera during two seasons — in 2018 and 2019.

Lyubov Medvedeva is a diploma winner of the Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Vocalists in 2014. The girl’s talent became known beyond her native Kharp long ago. A teacher of the musical school of the settlement Elena Andreyeva helped the vocalist to open her talent. After school Lyubov continued her studies with famous teachers at the faculty of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts - GITIS.
