Future engineers will be educated in the town Gubkinskiy

The first engineering class in Yamal was opened in school No 4 of the town Gubkinskiy. This is a new joint project of the school, the company “Rosneft-Purneftegaz” and the Industrial University of Tyumen. In the specialized class children will study robotics, 3D modeling, programming, Chinese language, in-depth courses of mathematics, physics and informatics. For the first time it was decided to start specialized education not in senior but already in middle school.

“School No 4 is one of the best in Yamal, these are not just the words. It is confirmed with yearly achievements of our children, and I am sure that the new generation of our town with dignity will continue these traditions – to be the best”, as the head of the town Andrey Garanin said.

It is not easy to become a student of the new engineering class. Before that the schoolchildren passed independent testing from teachers of the Industrial University of Tyumen. 24 school students passed it successfully.

“The school and the company “Rosneft-Purneftegaz” created an effective form of joint work. Serious managers and production commanders graduated from the higher education institution. I think, that the schoolchildren of Gubkinskiy will have the same opportunities”, said a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Viktor Kazarin.

The potential colleagues also congratulated the students and gave them a present – a 3D printer.

“We hope to see you in some years as new young oil workers among us. I wish you success. There are no doubts that your teachers will do the best to make education interesting. They wait for good work and persistence from you”, said the deputy director general on personnel and social programs of the company “RN-Purneftegaz” Maksim Sukharev.

The specialized subjects, as well as Chinese language, will be taught by the professorship of the Industrial University of Tyumen. The first session is already in early October. Teachers will come several times a year, the rest of the time - distance learning, which students have already mastered. Lectures and practice at the Tyumen higher education institution and excursions to the company “RN-Purneftegaz” will be organized for the students.

“They will have experience of communication with the University teachers, whose teaching methods are different from ones at school. I think they will be able to cope with everything successfully, because they are ready for that. But the children are interested not only in studying specialized subjects, our students are passionate about sports and creativity”, said the class teacher of the engineering class Oksana Sokolenko.

Studying in the engineering class is a kind of a ticket to the 10th grade (the specialized “Rosneft-class”) and a guarantee of successful admission to specialized higher education institutions, as the press service of the town administration informs.

“It is difficult to be an excellent student, it needs to manage to do many things, and it is important to plan time correctly for that. In the morning – sports, sambo, then - a school of arts, then – education and then doing homework - in the evening or in the interval between sports and the school of arts. For me my father is an example of how to work”, shared Dmitry Garanin, a student of the engineering class.
