Gas workers of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” share energy of the good

The results of the charitable activity were summed up in the company “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg”. In particular, the company continues fulfillment of the targeted program on charitable help “Energy of the Good”.

Last year the gas workers conducted many actions – support of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North (“Territory of commonwealth”), educational institutions (“To professionals of the future”, “Education for five plus”), children’s creativity and cultural institutions (“Dreams come true”, “Energy of creativity”), children’s and amateur sports (“Records with Gazprom”), former military and law enforcement officers (“Courage and mercy”), religious institutions (“Spiritual revival”), ecological and local history projects (“Our home – Yamal”).

Support of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North, preservation of their traditional lifestyle on the area of production and economic activity of the company – Nadymskiy, Purovskiy, Tazovskiy and Yamalskiy districts of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug – is the priority direction in charitable activity of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg”. Last year the following charitable help was rendered to these municipalities: organizing of the traditional holidays – the Fisherman’s day and the Reindeer Herder’s Day, building of houses on inter-settlement territory, vaccination of reindeer, support of ethnic communities, conducting of ecological activities and payment for education of representatives of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North in higher education institutions.

In addition, in 2018 the company rendered help to kindergartens, schools and other educational institutions in Yamal in organizing of repair and purchase of equipment, conducting of education and activities of scientific and research character, as the service on public relations and communication with mass media of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” informs.

The gas-extracting company helped several specialized higher education institutions to equip classrooms with laboratory equipment – the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, the Industrial University of Tyumen, Tomsk Polytechnic University, as well as the educational institution “Gazprom technical school Noviy Urengoy”. In addition, 18 best students of the specialized higher education institutions received the individual scholarship of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg”. Sports schools and clubs of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug received charitable help from the company last year – for development of karate Kyokushinkai, snowmobiling sport, court tennis, football, hockey and figure skating.

During several years “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” supports the initiative of the government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug on general cleaning of islands in the Kara Sea. The ecological expedition to Vilkitsky Island was conducted in 2018 at financial support of the company. 129 tonnes of industrial waste were collected and removed by its results.

Support of people with limited abilities of health is an important aspect of charitable activities of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg”. In particular, the Dance Sport Federation received support in purchase of special dance sport wheelchairs for disabled people. Owing to this, sportspeople from Noviy Urengoy became prizewinners at the championship of Russia in wheelchair dance sport.

A temple was built in the settlement for workers Novozapolyarniy at financial support of the enterprise. It was opened and consecrated last September.

The traditional New Year’s action took place at the end of the previous year, completing the row of last year charitable activities. Representatives of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” gave 4 thousand New Year’s presents to children of tundra population, pupils of boarding schools, children from families with low income, veterans and disabled people.
