“Gazprom Neft” is creating the IT-cluster to accelerate digital transformation

The company “Gazprom Neft” is forming its own IT-cluster based on its subsidiaries “Gazpromneft-Digital Solutions” (formerly “ITSK”) and “Gazpromneft Information Technology Operator” (formerly “Noyabrskneftegazsvyaz”).

The IT-cluster will include three technological parks in Saint Petersburg, Omsk and Noyabrsk, 4 data processing centers and about 20 technological representational offices in more than 30 regions of the country, as the press center of “Gazprom Neft” reports. The total number of employees is almost 6 thousand specialists, who form teams of competence centers for information and digital technologies.

Development of the IT-sector is part of comprehensive digital transformation of “Gazprom Neft”. The company implements strategic programs on digital transformation in all areas of business - their reaching of the design capacity during several years will allow achieving the economic effect of 3-5% of EBITDA annually.

Activity of “Gazpromneft-Digital Solutions” and “Gazpromneft Information Technology Operator” will be aimed at implementation of the corporate strategy on development of IT-infrastructure of the Gazprom Neft group of companies, introduction of a product approach and development of new services for customers and partners.

Transfer to the product model will assist to rapid launch and development of IT-products in cross-functional teams of developers and business divisions. It will allow implementing high-quality digital solutions in the shortest possible time due to deep understanding of specifics of each business line and also due to high technological competences”, said Kirill Kravchenko, the deputy director general for organizational issues at “Gazprom Neft”.
