Hiking, rafting, tourist routes will be organized in Yamal this summer

Traditionally the summer season in Yamal will be opened on the 12th of June, on the Day of Russia, with the mass rafting on the Sob River. The season will be finished on the 27th of September, on the World Tourism Day. In summer inhabitants of the region, Russian and foreign tourists will be able to have a rest in different parts of Yamal.

Rafting, weekend walking tours, water, fishing and hunting, ethnographic, cultural and cognitive, social tours and also press tours for journalists will be offered to them. This information was given by the chief of the office at the regional department of youth policy and tourism Viktor Andruschak on the meeting with journalists. As he notes, numerous activities dedicated to the Year of civil unity in Yamal are planned for students and working youth. These are tourist gatherings, rafting, tourist and sports activities, weekend walking tours, water tours and others. Tournaments on street workout, freerope, paintball and strikeball become popular among youth of Yamal. As Viktor Andruschak informs, now 5 tourist operators work in the region. They suggest 16 routes and 29 tours, including fishing and ecological-ethnographical in Tazovskiy district, for tourists. More than 71 thousand Russian tourists and almost 3400 foreigners visited Yamal last year. Press tours for journalists help to popularization of rest in Yamal. In 2013 "Yamal-tour" acquainted more than 130 people with sights of the region. This year in July-August the 5-day advertising water tour will take place for Finnish fishermen and photographers, and also advertising tours for domestic journalists. The number of companies working in the sphere of inbound and domestic tourism and also enterprises of public catering and hotels increased in Purovskiy, Priuralskiy, Tazovskiy districts, the towns Salekhard, Gubkinskiy and Tarko-Salye last year. By the words of Viktor Andruschak, it is connected with favorable atmosphere for development of industry of Yamal tourism. The department continues work on rendering of grant support of projects on development of inbound and domestic tourism. Requests for the contest are received till the first of July. These grants give the opportunity to represent the organization on the market of the region and to become the best and competitive, as he is sure. 5 grants are foreseen. 700 thousand rubles will be given to the best project on development of domestic tourism, 500 thousand rubles – the project in the nomination "The best service for tourists in a hotel, a restaurant", 300 thousand rubles – the project on social tourism. Authors of the best projects on development of ethnographic tourism and hunting-fishing tours will receive 200 thousand rubles each.
