Holiday activities will be organized in the town Kurgan for veterans of Yamal to the Victory Day

On the 7th of May the representational office of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in Kurgan Oblast will conduct the holiday dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory for veterans and pensioners of Yamal. According to the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" by the deputy chief of the representational office of Yamal in Kurgan Oblast Yelena Rudovskaya, 50 pensioners and veterans and also students from Yamal will gather together within the activities.

They will honor the memory of those people, who died in the Great Patriotic War. The ceremony of laying flowers will take place near the Eternal Flame. The excursion around the stands "The Soldiers of the Victory", the tea ceremony and the concert program will take place for the veterans in the Kurgan museum of local history. On the 9th of May people of Yamal will celebrate the Victory Day with their families, some will participate in town holiday activities, and within the action "The Immortal Regiment" will carry portraits of their relatives, who participated in the war. According to the words of Yelena Rudovskaya, employees of the representational office of Yamal delivered the jubilee medals "70 years of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" to three veterans of Yamal, who reside in Kurgan Oblast.
