Igor Kholmanskikh discussed development of the port of Sabetta with heads of Ural regions

Within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum the acting governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin participated in the conference "Development of the port of Sabetta in transport and logistic scheme of Ural Federal Okrug on economic development of the Arctic".

This information was given to IA "Sever-Press" in the press-service of the governor of Yamal. The plenipotentiary envoy of the President of Russia in Ural Federal Okrug Igor Kholmanskikh conducted the conference. As he notes, in the end of August in the settlement Sabetta it is planned to conduct the analogous conference. Heads and representatives of federal bodies of the executive power in the sphere of marine and river transport, industry and trade, law enforcement bodies and the Ministry for defense of the Russian Federation, interested organizations and enterprises intend to participate in it.

As he notes, it is planned to scrutinize two issues: potential of industrial enterprises of Ural Federal Okrug in deliveries of products purposed for building of the sea port of Sabetta and the plant on production of liquefied natural gas; creation of transport and logistic scheme "The Ural Arctic – Ural Region – Kazakhstan – China, India". Therefore, it needs to discuss basic issues of preparation of the regional conference, as Igor Kholmanskikh notes. The President of the Russian Federation pays special attention both to economic development of the Russian Arctic zone in general and to fulfillment of the large investment project "Yamal LNG". As the plenipotentiary envoy reminds, in September of 2013 Vladimir Putin conducted the conference on issues of creation of modern production of liquefied natural gas in Yamal – the project "Yamal LNG" – and building of the sea port of Sabetta and also underlined significance of these projects for creation of effective transport and logistic scheme profitable for all regions. Projects on creation of transport and logistic centers are being fulfilled in majority of Ural subjects. All these projects are based on use of geographical location of the regions. It needs to mark significance of the multifunctional sea port of Sabetta in transport and logistic scheme of Ural Federal Okrug on economic development of the Russian Arctic zone and also influence of created and designed transport and logistic infrastructure on development of the corridor "The Ural Arctic – Ural Region – Kazakhstan – China, India". Besides, within implementation of instructions on fulfillment of the message of the President to the Federal Assembly, the chairperson of the government Dmitriy Medvedev approved the Complex project on development of the Northern Sea Route. The document foresees modernization of acting and creation of new infrastructure on this route. During the coming 15 years the amount of transportations will 20 times grow, in the opinion of experts, as Igor Kholmanskikh underlines.
