In Salekhard the consul of Italy laid flowers to the Eternal Flame

The honorary consul of Italy in Noviy Urengoy and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Ernesto Ferlenghi and the deputy governor of Yamal Alexander Mazharov laid flowers to the Eternal Flame in the Victory Park.

Each fifth person of Yamal went to the war. In total 49 thousand people lived in 1941 in the region. 8982 people were called to the army. Each fourth of them – 2281 – did not come back. About 2000 people died on battlefronts, 172 are gone missing, more than 200 – died of wounds in hospitals. 8 people of Yamal were awarded with the highest military award – the title "Hero of the Soviet Union". Further it is planned to conduct the meeting of Ernesto Ferlenghi with the government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
