In Shanghai representatives of Yamal will attract Chinese partners with tasting of delicacies, songs and a promise to ride reindeer sleighs

The first China International Import Expo will take place from the 5th to the 10th of November in Shanghai. More than 1000 companies from 120 countries of the world are planning to participate in it. Enterprises of agro-industrial complex and tourist sphere of Yamal – “Nyda-Resource”, “Yamal-Tour” and “Yasavey” will present their investment potential within the Russian delegation in the People’s Republic of China. This information was given on the 29th of October by the first deputy head of the department of international and external economic relations Sergey Uramayev.

According to him, participation of Yamal is a planned event, as Russian-Chinese cooperation has lasted since 2010, when the delegation of Yamal participated in the world EXPO, where it represented Russia on its stand among other regions. Yamal participated in several forums of such format, for example, in 2016 in Harbin with products of agro-industrial complex. This year tourist services will be added to suggestions of the arctic region. The representatives of Yamal will participate in business sections. It is supposed to use “know-how” – tasting of products of reindeer husbandry.

In addition, the representatives of Yamal will participate in the cultural program of the forum. The collective of folk creative art “Severnoye Siyaniye” (The Northern Lights) from the town Gubkinskiy and singers-soloists will perform on the opening ceremony and thematic activities and also in the large concert program of the fair together with foreign performers.

To the question about results being expected by the delegation of Yamal Sergey Uramayev answered: “Interest from the side of China exists, but they are cautious people, they have such mentality. Before they will take a step, they will ponder everything many times, and I think it is not the last our meeting”.

In the opinion of the first deputy director of the department, China is a very big market, to where it is possible to deliver not only raw materials but also ready products with bigger added value. Therefore, attracting of Chinese investors is considered, creation of joint enterprises is supposed.
