Islamic restaurateurs want to see Yamal venison “Halal” on the tables

Agrarians of Yamal successfully presented their products at the international exhibition “RUSSIA HALAL EXPO” in Kazan conducted within the X International economic summit “Russia - Islamic world: KazanSummit 2018”.

About three thousand guests from 50 countries of the world participated in the event. About 80 companies from Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russian regions presented their products. The delegation of Yamal included representatives of the executive, legislative and municipal authorities, representatives of the companies “Nyda-Resource” and “Vozrozhdeniye” (revival) being included in the catalog of producers of “Halal”. Traditionally, the exhibition stand reflected economic and cultural potential of the arctic region. It was visited by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of foreign states. Reindeer meat, fish, jams and drinks made of wild-growing berries from Yamal were in high demand among visitors. Numerous negotiations were conducted at the stand of the Autonomous Okrug with goods producers, restaurateurs, representatives of retail chains during the two days of the exhibition. Interest in deliveries of products from Yamal was expressed by the head of the company “Asfar” (Mecca, Saudi Arabia) Sameer Abdul Fatani, who visited the exhibition of the arctic region. Also, with support of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims, including the Committee on the standard “Halal” of the Republic of Tatarstan, in the near future it is planned to work on organizing of coming of Yamal agribusiness enterprises to Islamic foreign markets, including the market of the United Arab Emirates. According to the press service of the head of Yamal, test consignments of products from Yamal were purchased by Kazan retail chains to study consumer demand among residents of the capital of Tatarstan. Protocols of intentions for promotion of products “Halal” of Yamal enterprises were signed with the company “Ikhlas” (Yekaterinburg) for coming of products from Yamal to regional sales markets. At the moment the first consignment of meat and fish products and products based on northern wild-growing plants is being formed. By the results of the event the enterprises of Yamal were awarded with diplomas, letters of gratitude for their active participation and assistance in conducting of the international exhibition “RUSSIA HALAL EXPO 2018”. The enterprises of Yamal have already received invitations to the exhibition in 2019, which will take place in the new largest exhibition center “Kazan Expo”.
