Labytnangi honored the first graduating students – diplomats

On the 18th of June in Labytnangi the first eight graduates from the club of young diplomats received certificates on completion of theoretical and practical courses. The ceremony of honoring of the graduates was held in the town administration.

According to the head of the town Marina Treskova, it is honor and responsibility to be a diplomat. Wisdom, restraint, extensive knowledge and integrity of diplomats are the basis for peaceful coexistence of various countries.

The club of young diplomats was established on the basis of the gymnasia (the upper secondary school) in Labytnangi in 2018. During this time the students multiplied their knowledge in various fields: from geopolitics and rhetoric to a foreign language.

With support from the department of external relations of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug the young diplomats got acquainted with the sphere of international relations in practice through participating in business games, meetings and visits to specialized institutions. The children received valuable experience of communication with representatives of the Council of young diplomats under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, with ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, participated in all-Russian diplomatic games, visited the Youth environmental forum in Finland and the United Nations headquarters in New York City. Ekaterina Arkhipova and Anna Sukhorukova, the graduates from the club of young diplomats, were awarded with letters of gratitude from the regional department of external relations.
